“We were all shocked at the news of Vyron Theodoropoulos’ death.
With his perspicacity, sobriety and vision, he opened paths, removed obstacles and sought solutions successfully. With his knowledge, wisdom and experience, he did great service to Greece. He linked his name to our homeland’s accession to the European Union. His passing is a great loss for our country. The void he leaves behind will be difficult to fill. His words and his writings are his legacy, for which we are richer and better prepared to face the great challenges that lie before us. Vyronas Theodoropoulos will always be a great teacher of diplomacy. His shining intellect will be a beacon guiding our efforts to maintain Greece’s rightful place among nations.
I express my grief and my profound condolences to his family. Our thoughts are with them.”
