I. Diplomatic Relations


Greece is represented in Guatemala through the parallel accreditation of the Greek Embassy in Mexico City.

 

II. Framework of Treaties

 

A bilateral Agreement to abolish visas is in force.

 

III. Political Relations

 

Bilateral political relations are very good. Greece supports the peaceful settlement of Guatemalas territorial disputes with Belize and Honduras.


IV. Economic and Trade Relations

 

Trade: according to data from the Greek National Statistical Service, the trade balance with Guatemala shows a deficit for Greece and amounts to 372,705. To be more precise, Greek exports to Guatemala amounted to $343,108, for imports of 715,813.


V. Cultural Relations

 

Greece offers scholarships for postgraduate studies through the State Scholarships Foundation and the Onassis Foundation.
