I. Diplomatic Relations

 

Greece is represented in Haiti through the parallel accreditation of the Greek Embassy in Caracas.

 

II. Political Relations

 

Greece, as the other EU Member States, directly recognised the interim government under Prime Minister Gerard Latortue and is involved in efforts to stabilise and rebuild the country, as well as preparations for the presidential and parliamentary elections scheduled for autumn 2005.

 

III. Economic and Trade Relations

 

Greece has donated 100,000 euros to Haiti as humanitarian aid, which she pledged during the International Donors Conference held in Washington on 19-20.7.2004.
